Quartet for 2 flutes, alto flute and bass flute, based on my song "The Grass is growing in the field of ash".
The original poem relates to nature taking over and recovering after natural or man-made disasters
(in particular volcanic ash or the results of an atom bomb).

By special request I have made an arrangement of my composition "The grass is growing" for flute, oboe and piano.
I have kept the piano part light, similar to the original guitar part, in order to avoid detracting from the melody instruments,
although I have added one or two pianistic devices on occasion.
