José Welligton Sousa de Castro born in Pindoretama a small town in the interior of Ceará, Brazil.

In 2000 he began his musical studies at the music band of the city, playing trombone.

2002 and 2006 toured to Germany, where he made presentations at Duckstein-Festival in Kiel and Lübeck, Summer Jazz Festival Pinneberg, FIFA FAN FEST, Altonale, Kieler Woche, Wine Fest Pinneberg.

2007 and 2008 was a finalist Alberto Nepomuceno Prize in composition for brass band.

In 2007 he joined the State University of Ceará (UECE) in the composition course with teacher Dr. Alfredo Barros.

In 2008 he was assistant teacher in the arrangements of their musical production of the show "Reino" of the dance company of Vera Passos.

In 2009 taught courses in publishing scores with Finale 2009 by Secult-ce and UECE and made arrangements for the concert of singer Andre Matos.

In 2010 taught courses in publishing scores with Finale 2010 by the city of Sobral and association ECOA. And won FUNARTE Classical composition, in the category Symphony Orchestra.

Currently, makes arrangements and composes for the Contemporary Orchestra of Ceará.
