Romeo and Juliet (Dire Straits)

Es gibt nur ein paar Liebesballaden, die mich fast immer faszinieren. Dieser Song ist ein WIRKLICHES Meisterwerk, ein Klassiker der Band. Ich mag auch ihre „Sultans of Swing“, aber dieses zärtliche und sanfte Stück geht mir direkt ins Herz. Extrem coole Gitarre-Version, am liebsten spiele ich das Intro, es ist einfach genial.

I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years by now but the peculiarities of Knopfler's music style have remained a mastering goal to me. I picked Romeo and Juliet as a starting point on my way to finally start 'getting there' and can assure you that it's a worthy but complicated start. The score will not yield to you easily at once but I feel I am making progress anyway. The only thing that to my mind is lacking in this sheet music is the detailed guidance, not just by chords but the sort of guidance to the style features. That would make it perfect to me.
