This is a contemporary setting for three upper voices, children's of women's choir, of a well-known folksong about the Befana - the Old Witch - who brings toys to children if they are good on the day of Epiphany, January 6th. The song is actually a conversation between the good Witch and a family who welcomes her with good wine an a few pennies. The tune and lyrics come from the town of Lucca, an hour from Florence, Italy. The Italian text and the English translation are included in the pdf sample for download.
