“Up” is the title of the song by the English singer, songwriter and actor Oliver “Olly” Murs that was recorded together with another popular singer (from America) – Demi Lovato. The song was created by a team of writers – Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen, Cutfather, Maegan Cottone and Wayne Hector. It was released in 2014 as part of Olly Murs’ 4th album “Never Been Better” and also got into Demi’s album “Demi” (deluxe version). In the song’s homeland, “Up” reached the 4th position on the UK’s famous Singles Chart and was later certified Platinum in the country. For Demi Lovato, the song became the 1st platinum hit song in the UK. Overall in the world, the song sold over a million copies.

So netter und eingängiger Klavier-Song, ein richtiges Ohrwurm, besonders der von Frau Lovato gesungene Refrain. Eigentlich habe ich die Noten zu diesem Lied meistens wegen des Refrains gesucht. Obwohl Ollys Stil mir sehr gut gefällt, ohne Zweifel wäre der Song ohne Lovatos Stimme nicht so erfolgreich und populär.

Definitely not the most simple song to play but once you've started practising it, you realize that's it's totally worth it. "Up" turned out to have a pretty complex rhythmic pattern but I assume this version is the one that closely follows the original composition. Therefore, once you get it down (and you will), you may be sure that you've mastered the real song as close as it gets. Personally, i found it a fun process.
