“A Head Full of Dreams” is a rock (alternative rock) song by the multi-award winning British band Coldplay. The song was written by all of the four band members – the frontman Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Bucklan & Will Champion. It was released in 2015 as the title track of their 7th album of the same name “A Head Full of Dreams”. Although the single did not surpass another track from the album “Adventure of a Lifetime” in popularity, it was still very much praised by the critics, particularly for its unusual sound combination of the chimes, drum set, guitar and dance pulse. The music style of “A Head Full of Dreams” also drew comparison to the style of U2, particularly their later works.

This catchy song is among those recent Colpday's works that put the guys back on track (after the poignant restrained lovelorn compositions from their Ghost Stories). It feels now so lively and cheerful to play A Head Full of Dreams, among others. I do love the rhythm, the energy and the uplifting mood of the composition. Ideally, one should perform this in a small band but the piano solo is perfectly enough for my own pleasure.
