Preface from the composer herself.

This Ballet is the first piece of music i had worked on; starting in 2018; i was impatient and released the very first version; at the time it was and Orchestral Suite which had a really diverse instrumentation... it was all over the place; I stopped working on it for a few years; and done a bunch of other works; of various callibers; unfortunately; some dork went and shoehorned the sheet music program i used to write these things; and had lost all my original files to revise any changes... due to going from version to version... I then ended up rewriting it all; and having some unnecessary stresses; during time i ended up working on my piano skills.

After a few years of looking for another sheet music writer; from the years of 2020-2022... I was unsuccessful; yet i learned that i still could get the one i liked through the site; with barely any trouble at all. With out this happening; i wouldn’t have resumed working on my sheet music.

After a writing a few other works; I rewrote from the original and had also writen the future second act as well; which was a Suite for Winds and Strings. I also wrote a Trio which would have told the Drunkard’s side of the story in the aftermath; as the second Act... which would have been three acts total... but it felt unnecessary and had stopped working on that... At this time i still hadn’t planned it being one work... but three seperate works that are kinda an arc...

The Summer of 2024... i had one of the worst mental breakdowns i have ever had... it lasted for nearly two months... I ended up revising and deleting 150 albums... from a count of 173... and i was working on 174 at the time... A lot of things were going on... and it was a build up from 2023‘s failed attempt at escaping my abusive household. (at the time of writing this; i am still living... too bad not everyone gets to have live as the bird.)

However; after the mental breakdown was absolved; i made a decision to rework all my music and do what Fanny Mendelssohn did by revising my works. Many of which are lost... and many of which will hold as much quality as i can provide.

I decided to come back to The Tale of the Bird. I had a previous MIDI album that contained the revised Tale of the Bird, the Suite for Winds and Strings and Piano Trio No. 2. (all of which are on musicaneo website. Which is likely where you have obtained this.)

I love Ballet; and everything about it; Ballet Dancers have such disapline and resolve that fortifies their every effort with the various music that they would dance to... standing on their tippy toes is just absurd to me... like they have denied the existence of gravity; i had tried this my self... and doom befalled me... I really find it a joy watching Swan Lake; and the music is astounding. I also enjoy Parade and Rite of Spring.

This is a Neo-Romantic Ballet; yet sounds a lot like if Stravinsky, Verdi, and Verdi all got together in some Bill and Ted kind of way in and wrote a Ballet. Yay.

Approx. 40 minutes
