François Borne (1840–1920), sometimes spelled Bourne, was a French flautist who performed with the orchestra of the Bordeaux Opera House, professor of flute and composition at the "Conservatoire de Musique de Toulouse". He is recognized for technical improvements to the Boehm system for the flute

I present to you my own arrangement for chamber orchestra with solo saxophone. This work was written for flute and symphony orchestra by François Born, while I made a simplified version for chamber orchestra with alto saxophone soloist. The work is bright and self-sufficient. Performed as a concert piece.
