I can't listen to Desert Rose without getting a burst of beautiful romantic nostalgia, what a great time it was when Sting was all the time on tour performing it at every gig to the cheers of the audience. Ahh, big emotions truly. I have learnt to play the piece only last spring and am getting better on the piano now, The easy version is behind, so I'll looking forward to the advanced one!

Long ago, as a young listener first, I would every time be haunted, almost maniacally, by the sound of Desert Rose long after it was finished. The eccentric kind of feeling that this piece of music stirred in me was almost unexplainable. No wonder that years after the first encounter I realized I don't want to part with this beautiful feeling. That's when I realized that taking up piano and keeping the favourite songs 'within you' . interpreting them in your own way, should be a great idea. I'm not young but I'm a piano beginner now. And I'm excited as ever discovering this wonderful of actually Making Music and trying to play what had been captivating you for years. No wonder that since I started making first real progress in piano, I went for the music score of my lovely Desert Rose. I've been practicing for a week now and I couldn't find words to express the scale of my joy hitting these notes... Without getting overly emotional, I should say - I'm happy.
