Georg Friedrich Händel Sheet Music

Georg Friedrich Händel

Georg Friedrich Händel

Baroque

Georg Friedrich Händel, a tireless toiler who received a position of organist at age 17, was a remarkably responsible and ambitious person: having organized in his spare time a choir he made it a rule to write a composition once a week for each upcoming Sunday service. And such attitudes were in general characteristic for great composers: for instance, Mozart used to compose a fugue every time he was to visit his teacher padre Martini, and Giuseppe Verdi did the same every day.

Anyway, none of the fugues of the latter exists today – he considered them to be nothing more than mental exercise and discarded all the books with his notes. As for Händel it, fortunately, wasn’t the case and all his fugues and other works which brought glory to him in his homeland as well as abroad have survived till our days. We mean Händel’s oratorios and operas, of course, since he believed that composing in this genre was his calling. Indeed, they occupy a prominent position not only in the baroque music but in the world culture as well, and our intention has been to offer the composer’s creative legacy in its entirety. The total number of sheet music of Händel’s works amounts to 3090, all of them can be downloaded and printed out. We hope their good quality and variety will undoubtedly satisfy you.
