“Roadrunner” is a song by the American singer and guitarist Jonathan Richman. It was written in 1970 and released in 1977 for the first time. Richman’s proto-punk band The Modern Lovers recorded it a few times after that. The song was inspired by Lou Reed’s hit “Sister Ray”, though compared to it, “Roadrunner” is called more passionate and playful. The Rollin Stone magazine named “Roadrunner” one of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time (274th position). The song is considered a mix of three genres – rock and roll, garage and protopunk.

klassischer punk-rock-song, eigentlich ein wahrer ohrwurm. macht mir immer großen spaß, ihn auf gitarre zu spielen – dieses 2-akkorde lied passt perfekt zu mir aals anfänger

excellent rock-n-roll!! Healthy and upbeat, just like it was created to be, just like it used to be. Too bad there's nth like that today.
