Sondheim has always been a wonderful choice for me. Johanna is quite a specific composition to learn, though (esp. in terms of dynamics) but it works out nicely in the end. Although it's originally performed by a male voice in the Sweeney Todd production, it can work for women as well - all you need to do is to change the key to adjust to your most comfortable range. In any case, the song is worth it, it is so strikingly beautiful no matter if performed by baritone, tenor and what not. One thing is sure, you do need a strong voice to make it work (lots of prolonged notes)
