A haunting and yet insistent piece for three harpsichords in the Superlocrian mode - this is a mode which can be understood as being like the major mode except that the tonic note is raised by a semitone in comparison with the major mode.
Conversely it can be said to be like the major mode but with all the notes except the tonic flattened by a semitone. Either way the effect is strange and makes a curious change from the harpsichord music which is normally found.
