This is a setting of the famous Christmas/Advent Carol with different rhythms than the modern version. It is set here for SSA voices, children's or ladies. It can also be performed by SAB choir as in the audio sample. It contains 3 verses in English. The source is a facsimile of the1591 manuscripts published by Thomas Sharp in 1825, in which he discusses the Pageants at Coventry.
