This famous Christmas Carol is set for Women's or Children's 3 part chorus with optional keyboard accompaniment. The style is slightly modernized, the ending of the Refrain "in excelsis gloria" has a slight change in rhythm. The original version of this traditional tune is a French Carol "Les Anges dans nos Campagnes". Versions in both French and Italian are available. This is the English version which traditionally contains a slight variant on the melody which we have included here.
