Macapá is a simple tune featuring a sunny, cheerful melody over a toe-tapping samba beat. It's sure to put a smile on everybody's face and get plenty of bodies on the dance floor.

Leadsheets are included in Eb, Bb, and C (bass/treble). There are also a few optional rhythm section parts which are provided for guidance.

The parts contain optional solo backings for the [B] section, but players are very much encouraged to come up with their own!

Macapá is a popular tune originally for small jazz/latin ensemble and now brought to big band in style! Featuring a sunny, cheerful melody, fun lines for numerous instruments, and a toe-tapping samba beat, Macapá is sure to put a smile on everybody's face and get plenty of bodies on the dance floor.

All parts are contained in the PDF file download after the score. There are also a few other optional parts (a clarinet part + an auxiliary percussion guide).

The flute part is also optional, but highly recommended! A flute cue appears in Alto 1 part for the opening riff in case you do not have a dedicated flute player.
