Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor, Op.65

Difficult, heart-wrenching and emotionally-charged. I hear it was the most complicated work for Chopin being his final music piece. Frederic was already declining and wrote a sonata that would encompass his life in a nutshell. Therefore while playing it you can recognize numerous episodes from the previous pieces (if you've played enough of them, of course). You can feel the composer's struggle in creating a summing masterpiece, a lifetime reflection. The difficulty of the piece is marked as 'advanced' and it really is - for cello. The piano part is much easier, I'd say it's an upper-intermediate even. All in all, one can't but stay indifferent to listening and/or playing this gem.
