Whilst the part-writing is quite simple this is a very effective arrangement. Sensitively harmonized, there is a lot of variety packed into this simple French song.
With dynamics ranging from soft to loud and the melody switched around it is a very rewarding pIece to sing. It is very suitable for school choirs.

There is plenty of variety and color, with contrasting dynamics and textures along with the tune being distributed among the voices. It is a novel concert item and suitable for school choirs.
