My modest contribution for "Maestro-in-the-Making" book project. Was composed in 1990 and revised in October, 2013. Dedicated to the memory of Mendelssohn (who had once "established" this genre), Schumann and Paul Desmond (who has composed "Take Five", - neither Mendelssohn nor Schumann used 5/8 or 5/4 measure... though the style of my piece is maybe mostly like Schumann`s style...). Original tonality of the first version of the piece was B major. Due to the educational specific it was changed with B flat major. However, it`s absolutely possible to play the new version in B major also!
