“Money On My Mind” single was released on the debut “In the Lonely Hour” album by the British singer and songwriter Sam Smith. The date of the official release is February 2014. The song was written by Sam Smith and Ben Ash and revolves around people’s greed for money (the music video was filmed in Las Vegas). “Money On My Mind” quickly peaked at №1 in the UK Singles Chart and №4 in the Irish Singles Chart. Other popular tracks by Sam Smith include “La La La” (with Naughty Boy) and “Stay With Me”.

One usually like a certain song by a certain musician most of all, but to me the case of this guy is an exception - I can listen to the entire album by Sam Smith without getting tired of any of the songs. His style is addictive, really :P

Was für eine prächtige Stimme! Besonders mag ich die unplugged Version dieses Songs, sie ist total perfekt und eigentlich passen diese Noten ideal dazu. Ich kann „Money on my mind“ geradezu Tag und Nacht hören und warte schon seit langem auf das neue Album von Sam Smith – dieses soll etwas großartiges sein!

Sam's songs always bear some important nontrivial message and that's what I respect his work for. You can listen to a nice easy tune but at the same time think of the crucial things he's talking about through his music.

Sam's got an amazing voice, that, plus deep sense of the lyrics - and he becomes a worthy singer, not just a one-hit musician. It's one of those songs where u can listen and think, it does make u think about stuff, about the meaningless people's greed for superficial niceties of life, instead of being guided by eternal values. Sad.

Oh how many covers of this song I’ve heard! multiple remixes in all possible music genres. I guess that some remix was actually the first thing I heard, not the original piece. Still I love the original way more. It’s so stuck in my head right now that I can’t study properly ))) Money on my mind, hah )) It’s always cool to discover artists like Sam Smith through such out-of-the-blue-sky music hits.
