Magic (Coldplay)

Magic can be cool both in a pure classical arrangement and a modern house/minimal/pop version, universal song..

I love Coldplay lyrics, so clever and beautiful every time. But what I like even more is the instrumental part - if you remove the lyrics and just give "Magic" a listen, it's an entire bright picture that builds up in your mind without any need to be explained in words.

leichtes und harmonisches Lied, „magisch“ immer interessanter nach mehrmaligem Hören. der Song bringt zur Ruhe und stimmt zur Entspannung. das Stück spiele ich oft auf Klavier nach einem langen ermüdenden Tag oder wenn ich um etwas besonders besorgt, um mich ein wenig zu zerstreuen.

I've been following the music pace of Colplay and my first observation on hearing Magic is the new softness in the music style of this band. It sounds more refined and light in comparison to early works. AT the same time Magic is a very personal song with which a lot of people can identify themselves.

I didnt think id be pleasantly surprised by my favorite band but I was! Magic is one of their most successful songs i believe. And it's definitely the best song on Ghost Stories. Atmospheric songs like that are a rarity today

I love the way the former relationship is described in this song and how it's all paired with the elements of magic, in different senses. I've read that Chris Martin is referring to his split with Gwyneth Paltrow in this song. That must've been a magic relationship and a painful break-up..cz the song resulted to be more than emotional.

I’ve always thougth that with time, no matter how cool and talented the band is, musicians tend to lose the grab, you know. So there music becomes more predictable and less attractive. But that’s definitely not the case of Coldplay. Omg I don’t know where these guys take inspiration from but even there new songs are so much of a win. Magic is so…magic! You know you could put it on repeat and not notice how a day would pass, you’d still be enjoying the melody. Something romantic to it but at the same time very strong and emotional that keeps you involved during the entire 5 minutes. Love it.
