“Summer” by Calvin Harris is the lead single from the Scottish artist’s 4th music album. The song was released in March 2014 followed by the music video where Jason Statham made an appearance. “Summer” is a dance-pop electro house track with vocals from Calvin Harris himself (earlier Harris appeared as vocalist in his “Feel So Close” hit). The song debuted on Capital FM Radio and claimed to become the anthem of summer, competing with hits like “Blurred Lines” and “Umbrella”.

Surprising but it's still around) I was almost sure that it's a one-week hit but no! there IS something about this song that still holds people's attention, great!

Dieser Song ist voll von Sonne, Meer und hübschen Mädchen :) Perfekt Sommertanzhit, der eigentlich ganz bemerkenswert klingt. Typischer Harris-Beats-Sound, die alle meine Erwartungen erfüllt.

I can't get the right words to describe what exactly I like about this song but it's like glued inside my head up to now :) Reminds me of my best summer memories of the last few years ... Maybe that was exactly its purpose

I’ve known Calvin Harris as a DJ rather than a singer so it was kinda surprising to hear him singing suddenly. Surprising but not bad definitely! Makes a good vibe and I’m sure that’s gonna be quite popular this summer for sure – it’s got everything for it, catchy beat, summer-ish lyrics, and clubbing format. Let's hope that that’s not the last hit by Harris that would catch on this easily.
