This is the original 3 part setting of a short motet for Easter Week. A very early edition is kept in the Cherubini Conservatory Library in Florence, Italy and was transcribed by the historian Mario Fabbri, who died of cancer in 1983. He was a colleague of mine from the Music Conservatory and dedicated much time towards making public little known works [http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Fabbri_(musicologo)] . The meaning of the title is "Shadows covered the earth".
The motet can be performed by a choir or by 3 soloists.

Do you mean to play on a keyboard or organ? This is written for 3 voices, you can download this and play the third voice with the left hand and the upper two voices with the right hand. Or you can re-write it yourself.

Is it possible to download the music to use as an accompaniment?
