In this piece, the text of the Russian folk wedding song was set to music. Alexander Pushkin asked to sing this song at the "guy party" on the eve of his wedding. The first version of Wedding Song became the part of my opera The Blind Swallow, in which Alexander Pushkin is one of the characters.
