A song describing the brevity of life and the necessity to live for the Lord while there is opportunity.
Based on a poem by C.T. Studd, the founder of WEC international.
The poem is long, but encapsulated in the first stanza:
“Two little lines I heard one day,
Traveling along life’s busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart,
And from my mind would not depart;
Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last."
The song has two short verses and no key changes. It is simple to play and sounds great accompanied by guitar. It hope and pray it is a blessing to all who hear and sing it!
