“Psifidoto A” - Program Notes “Psifidoto” means “mosaic, collage”. I chose this specific title because I wanted to mention the fact that I included in this piece as many Greek musical folk idioms as I could. Initially, I was planning to have a large piece with six or seven movements but I finally ended up in dividing this greater scale work into two: Psifidoto A and B. The title of each movement of the piece contains the names of the Greek regions that its music is based to.
