Giuseppe De Gregorio (1866-1933) was a Neapolitan composer, who wrote many songs, but probably the most sognificant ones, are "Ndringhete ndra!" 1895 and "Napule bello" 1898. With Napule bello he even won the competition "Piedigrotta" 1898 over " 'O sole mio!" from Eduardo di Capua, which took second prize.
"Ndringhete, ndrà" is a neapolitan frase using like an answer to a bothersome question.
It tells the story of a beautiful young girl, selling water with ice in the summer. Everybody comes to buy water from her, but nobody manages to steal her heart...Nobody can marry her! Why? Well...Ndringhete ndra! :)
This version is 1 ton higher than the original and is for higher voices, but you can have the other one or in any other key too. Just ask!
