“Adventure of a Lifetime” is a dance-pop song by the famous rock band from Great Britain – Coldplay. The song was written by the band’s frontman Chris Martin alongside with Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion. It was released in 2015 and became a part of Coldplay’s 7th album titled “A Head Full of Dreams”. “Adventure of a Lifetime” came in as a surprise to both the fans and the critics. It was created in an unusual for the band style: a funky disco tune full of childlike energy and groove. Some magazines immediately named the song one of Coldplay’s best singles ever. The song got high on both the UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot 100, also conquering the music tops of 20 countries. Rolling Stone put the single into the list of one of 2015’s best songs.

I had been waiting for the sheet music since the very first day of the song's release. Was too curious to try out Coldplay's new style, as Adventure of a Lifetime really doesn't sound/play like any of the band's song (and there have been too many of them to compare). I was so used to their 'regular' soft rock style that the cheerful Adventure did feel tricky when I embarked on the score. However, thanks to the cheerful and upbeat pattern, you get in the rhythm very fast. To date, it's surely one of my most favorite Coldplay pieces to perform on piano. Too bad the band's decided to take a pause in making music (
