“Faded” is an electro-dance composition by the EDM artist from Norway – Alan Walker (originally British). The electro-ballad was written by Walker together with Jesper Borgen, Gunnar Greve Pettersen, and Anders Froen. It was released in 2015 and by 2016 already reached the top of many countries (No.1 in over 10 charts, Top 10 in most of the charts). The song is praised for its piano intro, as well as for the featured vocals by the Norwegian electro/pop/folk singer Iselin Solheim. In 2016, Alan Walker released “The FADER”, a ‘restrung’ version of the original “Faded” that doesn’t have any electronic elements, only piano, strings and Iselin’s vocals.

That piano intro blows my mind, it's the most exciting part of the score for sure. I honestly find the piano melody the most powerful part of the entire composition in general, that's in fact the main reason I decided to play the tune. In combination with the strings and the nonintrusive vocals Faded is pop masterpiece. I wish that the classical elements were wider used in the popular music nowadays.
