Hippolyte Escudié was born in 1816 in Castelnaudary, France and died in Paris in 1881. He wrote four fantaisies for saxophone and piano and a number of works for saxophone and organ, including the six Andantes The Six andantes are in a Bel Canto style, with many cadenzas and romantic coloring in the harmonizations.
