This piano transcription, created in Rome in 2011 by Santino Cara, derives from the manuscript of the orchestral copies in the key of G minor by Johann Nikolaus Forkel (1749-1818) and Georg Johann Daniel Poelchau (1773-1836).

Concerto BWV1056R was written around 1730 - 1738. The second movement, Largo, is also present in his Cantata BWV 156, known as Arioso.
