Written for David Cooper, the principal horn player of the Dallas Symphony, Isaac’s Horn Sonata is a four-movement tour de force for both the horn player and the piano. The slow movement is entitled “The Angel’s Pavanne” and was written at the request of horn player David Cooper as a gift to Vadym Kholodenko. This movmement may be presented alone as a single piece and is especially suitable for any solemn occasion (memorial services, funerals, commemorations).
