These are three short dances which were part of a project this year at my school. We had to write works which resembled water. I chose three dances---an allegro, a sarabande, and a gigue. You can hear a back-and-forth motif amid the two voices.
It is scored for only bassoon and flute. I like the combination of instruments.
The gigue is somewhat canonical in the first half; the flute has a statement and the bassoon states it exactly, while the flute gives counterpoint over the bassoon.
