Noonday Storm is a piece written for Middle School Band. Imagine enjoying a boat cruise at sea during noontime. Suddenly, the weather becomes difficult as a storm approaches. That is what I pictured writing this song. Different instruments and themes appear throughout the piece giving a feeling of a fierce storm taking over what was once a peaceful day at sea.
