“Hymn for the Weekend’ is an electro/dance/pop rock song by the British band of alternative-rock artists – Coldplay. It appears in 2015 as the 3rd track on their album titled “A Head Full of Dreams”. The single was written by the four-member team of Coldplay and features the vocals by the famous American R&B star Beyonce. The light disco-groovy song dedicated to having fun on weekend, “Hymn for the Weekend’ performed quite well in the world music charts, being certified gold or platinum in almost a dozen countries. All in all, the album has three singles, the other two being “Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Up & Up”. For some reason, when I play Hymn for the Weekend I truly feel like being a part of the band, which never happened to me before when performing other songs by Coldplay. It's like pure positive energy pouring out of the piano keys, the beat is so fresh, catchy and vibrant! So much better than the melancholic Ghost Stories tunes. I had previously got a songbook of Ghost Stories and to be honest that was too much of lyrical piano for me, I was longing for more upbeat rhythms and seems like Coldplay heard my pleading))
