This Adagio-Andante was written for musicians from Utrecht. It is lyrical and modern romantic in character and it is based on my recent choral work "Wees gegroet" on a text from the collection 'Er was eens / There was once' by the Amersfoort city poet Eva Vleeskruyer, in which she describes how she has gradually found her place in this city.
