In my piano studio I encourage my students to play music together with their friends that play in their school bands and orchestras. So, I’ve needed to arrange some music for them so they would have something to play. The theme of this composition, reminiscent of hornpipe tune, is excerpted from Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera H.M.S. (Her Majesty’s Ship) Pinafore
