I am a pianist and my favourite music is of the Baroque period. I do love the idea of piano duets, where you can share the pleasures of playing music with a friend with the minimal requirement of instruments. Unfortunately, keyboard music for four hands doesn't seem to be a form a music utilized in the Baroque period (if you do know examples of genuine Baroque keyboard duet music, please let me know), and I do constantly wonder what music Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Telemann and other great Baroque composers would have written for four hands, one keyboard. A lot of the music I have written are piano duets and upon hearing them, you will hear Baroque blood pumping through the music's veins.
I wrote this duet when I was in my teens to play with my piano teacher, Mr Hughes, hence the title of the duet.
