The Fantasy is a homage to J. S. Bach and his Partita in A minor.
The form was kept exactly. The repetition of the first part is based on the old, now almost forgotten baroque art of ornamentation, today one would say - improvisation.
The tonal material mixes tonal and modal elements, so that Bach's Partita can be seen as a quotation.
