Piece originally written on a very rare instrument which is an Octaviola, a 12 string Mandola with triple course where one course is tuned an octave below. Sound sample has been recorded on this very instrument.
Publication includes two scores, one in treble clef so it may be played on a Mandriola (a 12 string mandolin) and one in alto clef for Octaviola or Mandola. Tablature however has same fingering on both and piece can be performed on any type of string instrument that is tuned in fifths.
