An inspiring piece inspired by "A Mother's Prayer" by Rev. Wendy MacLean, this would make a splendid benediction for a Pride service or any service where LGBTQ people are affirmed. Composed with a view to maximum usefulness, it has a congregational part which is doubled by the tenors and basses of the choir, gorgeous harmonies added by the choir's sopranos and altos, and a rich accompaniment for piano and/or organ (the audio sample uses piano for the first half and organ for the second half), with optional additional parts for handbells (easy enough for children) and trumpet.
