This is a new setting of the famous "Cherry Blossom" Japanese melody for mixed voices, SATB with some voices subdivided. The setting is dedicated to the Konzertchor of Muenster, and the performance included is a recording of their rendition of the song. The text included is phonetically written for German/Italian readers.

An easy arrangement of this lovely Japanese Folk tune. Built on a traditional Pentatonic scale using only the notes EFABC, the unused bars could be removed for younger performers. The melody is played by Sop Glock and Alto Glock. The alto Met has the most demanding part with broken chords and scale patterns to play. Bass Met or Marimba could be used in place of the Bass Xylo. I hope you enjoy this gentle, peaceful tune.
