“What's Up” is a pop/alternative rock song by the American girls rock band 4 Non Blondes. The song was written by the band’s vocalist and guitar player Linda Perry. It was released in 1992 as part of the group’s first music album “Bigger, Better, Faster, More!.” and as a single in 1933. Originally, the piece was titled “What’s Going On” but Linda Perry didn’t want it to be confused with another well-known composition by the American singer Marvin Gaye. The song got very successful in the USA (14th on Billboard Hot 100) as well in many European countries like Austria, Germany, Norway, Belgium, Sweden and others (top position in a dozen countries). “What's Up” is among the 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders according to VH1, it was certified silver, gold or platinum in 8 countries. Pink and Lady Gaga were among the artists who covered the song. Other singles by 4 Non Blondes include “Dear Mr. President”, “Spaceman” and “Misty Mountain Hop”.

I've read that Whats Up was also on the list of the 'Party Songs We Never Ever Want to Hear Again' made by some prestigious music magazine. Not fair! Maybe it was overly popular at its time and someone might have got enough of listening to it from every corner, but now after all these years I still feel like hearing it! Playing it makes me turns me back into the atmosphere of those years, it's so catchy, come one, how can one stop liking it ever.
