“She Don't Use Jelly” is a popular song by the American rock band The Flaming Lips. It was written in 1993 by the band’s members Wayne Coyne, Michael Ivins, Steven Drozd and Ronald Jones. The song was released as a single and as part of The Flaming Lips’ 6th album titled “Transmissions from the Satellite Heart”. It was the famous American animated sitcom “Beavis and Butt-head” shown on MTV that brought “She Don't Use Jelly” enormous popularity. After being featured in the show a year after its release, the song immediately entered the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the Top 10 Modern Rock Tracks. It is considered band’s biggest hit on the radio until now. Lyrically, the song is about people with oddities and weird behaviour. The musical genre of the composition can be described as a mix of alternative rock, noise rock and neo-psychedelia. Among the most popular covers are the versions by KT Tunstall, Drugstore, Ben Floyds Five and The Hyannis Sound. Other well-known singles by The Flaming Lips are “Race for the Prize”, “Do You Realize??”, “The Golden Path”, and “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”.
