NUBES for violin, violoncello and piano (Latin: Cloud ) starts with an introduction of depressed piano overtone chords and string flageolets, which condense into a cloud of sound. From there melodies develop in violin and cello on deep dark piano basses. Sometimes as a cloud with a silver lining.
