“Summer Breeze” is a popular soft rock song by the American rock duet Seals & Crofts. The song was written by both members James Seal and Dash Crofts. It was released in 1972 as part of the same-named album “Summer Breeze” as well as their first single. The song reached the 6th position on the famous Billboard Hot 100, and in 2013 the Rolling Stone magazine named it one of the best summer songs of all time. The original composition was believed to be a true summer rock anthem at the time and was extremely popular on the radio. No doubt the song received a number of various covers, including versions by Isley Brothers (soul and R&B), The Three Tenors, Type O Negative (doom metal) and George Benson with Al Jarreau, among others. Other well-known singles by Seals & Crofts include “Hummingbird”, “Diamond Girl”, “I’ll Play for You”, “Get Closer”, “You Are the Love” and others.

to my mind that’s one of those songs that doesn’t quite have a very clear definition of time, you can play it at any time in any epoch and it would still sound to the place
