Randy Newman is a great composer. I especially love some of his compositions because they are very good for kids practicing. This particular song is very popular among children but make sure the needed key is chosen, I would personally recommend transposing into one of the higher keys. The piano accompaniment captures the style and the melody beautifully, but you can also use the guitar or ukulele (might be even more fun). In general, that's a splendid music piece about friendship and what's really important in life. Very worth listening to and playing by people of basically all ages.
