"In the ending of the year" is a motet on a 12th century Latin text for Christmas time. This is in contemporary style for three mixed voices reminiscent of medieval music. The vocal parts can be doubled by instruments. Settings for SSA and SAT voices are also available. It can be performed by either a choral ensemble or solo voices.
The pdf contains 6 pages of music and the lyrics:
1. In hoc anni circulo Vita datur saeculo, Nato nobis parvulo Per virginem Mariam. (refrain) Verbum caro factum est Per virginem Mariam.
2. Quod vetustas suffocat Hoc ad vitam revocat, Nam se Deus collocat Per virginem Mariam.
3. Adam pomo vescitur, Et sudor repellitur Sui vultus hodie Per virginem Mariam.
4. Noe, pro diluvio Clauso fortis ostio, Arcam intrat hodie Per virginem Mariam.
5. Serpens ille, callidus Cunctis animalibus, Suffocatur hodie Per virginem Mariam.
6. Stella solem protulit, Sol salutem contulit, Nihil tamen abstulit Per virginem Mariam.
7. Puer circumciditur, Sanguis ejus funditur, Vita restituitur Per virginem Mariam.
8. In praesepe ponitur, Et a brutis colitur, Matris velo tegitur Per virginem Mariam.
9. Ab angelis concinitur, Gloria et pax dicitur, A pastoribus quaeritur Cum virgine Maria.
10. Joseph nato fruitur, Natus lacte pascitur, Vagit, plorat, tegitur Per virginem Mariam.
11. Ergo nostra concio Omni plena gaudio, Psallat cum tripudio Cum virgine Maria.

4. Noah, firmly closed the gate to the flood, Today we enter the ark thanks to the virgin Mary.
5. The serpent was cunning with all the animals, He is choked today by the Virgin Mary.
6. A star bore this sun, the sun brought salvation, Yet nothing was removed thanks to the virgin Mary.
7. The child was circumcised, His blood shall be shed, [Eternal] Life is restored by the virgin Mary.
8. He lies in a crib, worshiped by lowly animals, Covered with a mother’s veil by the virgin Mary.
9. The angels chanted glory and peace, The shepherds asked about him and the Virgin Mary.
10. Joseph celebrated this birth, feeding him milk, Cries and laments are hidden by the virgin Mary.
11. Therefore let all our assembly be full of joy, [And] Sing and dance with the Virgin Mary.
