Nato nobis parvulo Per virginem Mariam.
(refrain) Verbum caro factum est
Per virginem Mariam.

2. Quod vetustas suffocat Hoc ad vitam revocat,
Nam se Deus collocat Per virginem Mariam.

3. Adam pomo vescitur, Et sudor repellitur
Sui vultus hodie Per virginem Mariam.

4. Noe, pro diluvio Clauso fortis ostio,
Arcam intrat hodie Per virginem Mariam.

5. Serpens ille, callidus Cunctis animalibus,
Suffocatur hodie Per virginem Mariam.

6. Stella solem protulit, Sol salutem contulit,
Nihil tamen abstulit Per virginem Mariam.

7. Puer circumciditur, Sanguis ejus funditur,
Vita restituitur Per virginem Mariam.

8. In praesepe ponitur, Et a brutis colitur,
Matris velo tegitur Per virginem Mariam.

9. Ab angelis concinitur, Gloria et pax dicitur,
A pastoribus quaeritur Cum virgine Maria.

10. Joseph nato fruitur, Natus lacte pascitur,
Vagit, plorat, tegitur Per virginem Mariam.

11. Ergo nostra concio Omni plena gaudio,
Psallat cum tripudio Cum virgine Maria.

1. In the ending of the year life is given to the world,
A child is born to us by the Virgin Mary
(refrain) The Word became flesh
By the Virgin Mary.

2. What was slain in antiquity now returns to life,
For God has arrived by the virgin Mary.

3. Adam ate the apple but the sweat is gone
From our faces today thanks to the virgin Mary.

4. Noah, firmly closed the gate to the flood,
Today we enter the ark thanks to the virgin Mary.

5. The serpent was cunning with all the animals,
He is choked today by the Virgin Mary.

6. A star bore this sun, the sun brought salvation,
Yet nothing was removed thanks to the virgin Mary.

7. The child was circumcised, His blood shall be shed, [Eternal] Life is restored by the virgin Mary.

8. He lies in a crib, worshiped by lowly animals,
Covered with a mother’s veil by the virgin Mary.

9. The angels chanted glory and peace,
The shepherds asked about him and the Virgin Mary.

10. Joseph celebrated this birth, feeding him milk,
Cries and laments are hidden by the virgin Mary.

11. Therefore let all our assembly be full of joy,
[And] Sing and dance with the Virgin Mary.
