“I Am Not Alone” is among the essential worship compositions of today. The song was co-written by the American songwriter and worship leader Kari Jobe together with Mia Fieldes, Dustin Sauder, Austin and Ben Davis, Grant Pittman and Marty Sampson. It was released in 2014 as part of her 2nd album “Majestic” and got a BMI Christian Award in 2017, becoming one of the top 25 Christian compositions of the past year. "I Am Not Alone" is a poignant ballad with a strong piano lead. Some of its lyrics cite the Bible (Psalm, Exodus, Isaiah) stressing the importance of remembering that God is always watching and protecting the people and they are never alone even at the hardest times. The album “Majestic” became one of the top 200 best albums according to Billboard and got the 1st position in Christian Albums chart. It also reached the 3rd position in 2014 Worship Leaders Top 20. Other popular songs by Kari Jobe include “Forever”, “Holy Spirit”, “Let The Heavens Open”, “Steady My Heart”, “Hands To Heaven”, “Find You On My Knees” and others.

I have accompanied Kari Jobe's song 3 times now as a church pianist and I must say that this heart-wrenching ballad does elicit response in the hearts of the parish. There is something above the ordinary in this composition, though it is not, say, totally spiritual in style. I am looking forward to getting the choral version of Im Not Alone from you as well as soon as it's available online.
